Hyde Park Fun Fair

Can't make the Christmas fair?

Here is a list of forthcoming events that may be more convenient for you:

Woolwich Annual Fair Cancelled for 2008

From: November 13th, 2008
To: November 23rd, 2008

We looked forward to our annual fair at Woolwich Common, not far south from the Woolwich Ferry and on the South Circular Road close to Woolwich Town Centre but unfortunately this event has been cancelled due to the economic climate! However our major Christmas functions will be going ahead, so please visit us then.

Shepherds Bush Xmas Spectacular

From: December 6th, 2008
To: January 4th, 2009

Great news for everyone as Irvin Leisure announce a fabulous new Winter Spectacular, with lots of fun and frolics for everyone. More news to come, but if we say get your skates on you might get a hint, and we will sleigh you there is another suggestion (you wait until you see the new attraction for this!) plus all your fairground favourites. Our photo shows the Summer Event in full swing, so do not miss out in December and early January.

Shepherds Bush has just seen the opening of a new major shopping centre, in Westfield, and we are convinced that they invested the billions of pounds in building this because they knew that they would be alongside George Irvin's Winter Festival!

More soon, watch this space.

Winter Wonderland- Hyde Park

From: November 21st, 2008
To: January 4th, 2009

Irvin Leisure are proud to be back as the central fairground feature at the fabulous Winter Wonderland Event in Hyde Park. This will once again focus on the ice rink which London Lite referred to as "The biggest and best".

The George Irvin Carousel and Victorian Helter Skelter will catch the eye, along with our specially themed Children’s Rides.

Back by popular demand, the iconic 53 metre Giant Wheel will yet again offer magnificent views over the Capital. This year’s toboggan slide promises to be even more thrilling than last year, and it doesn’t stop there: WINTER WONDERLAND will once again have traditional and modern attractions & the introduction of many new ones. There will be an even wider variety of themed rides for children.

WINTER WONDERLAND will see the return of the authentic German Market which will double in size, and offer a staggering variety of arts & crafts stalls, as well as Germanic food & beverages offering an atmospheric setting for Christmas shopping. As well as perennial favourites such as German sausages, mulled wine & hot chocolate, WINTER WONDERLAND 2008 will offer a vastly increased variety of festive catering from around the world: ranging from food stalls to heated cafes and fully seated diners: to beautifully presented indoor & outdoor bars offering food and drink to enjoy at the event, as well the opportunity to buy gourmet gifts to take home with you.

A visit to WINTER WONDERLAND wouldn’t be complete without meeting Santa (named ‘Best Outdoor Experience’ by Time Out’s ‘Good Santa Guide’) and once again this will be free! Father Christmas will be at the Hyde Park bandstand along with his elves every day, right up until Christmas Eve. You might even get a special gift from him, if you’ve been good boys and girls!

The magical atmosphere of WINTER WONDERLAND comes alive in the evenings when choirs perform and the trees along the Serpentine Road sparkle with thousands of Christmas lights, highlighting the beauty of London’s best loved park. As the Daily Express wrote London’s Winter Wonderland is the perfect event for families, friends and colleagues to delight in the magical atmosphere of London this Christmas’.

WINTER WONDERLAND is free to enter with tokens for all rides and attractions
available for purchase on the day, however advance booking is available and is strongly recommended for the ice rink and giant wheel. Prices for the Ice Rink have been held this year, so a visit to WINTER WONDERLAND offers excellent value for money for all visitors.
